Everything a service needs, connected.

Apron runs the floor, the kitchen, the counter and the back office as one system. Here's how a service moves through it, with the real screens your team will use.

01 · Order

Take the order once. Everyone sees it.

A captain takes it on a phone at the table, or the counter on a tablet. Either way, it reaches the kitchen with the details intact, and the table's status updates for the whole floor.

Apron's counter POS with table T8's dine-in order: Masala Dosa with the note less oil, two Filter Coffees, Medu Vada and Kesari Bath, items not yet sent.
Apron on a captain's phone: ground-floor tables with minutes seated, a bill pending, a reservation and a free table.
  • Counter POSDine-in, takeaway, counter and delivery. Variants, add-ons and kitchen notes. Hold an order and resume it.
  • Captains on phonesThe same POS fits a phone, so orders are taken at the table and sent as a KOT from there.
  • Live tablesStatus by floor. Move, merge and split tables, take reservations, and see guest requests.
  • QR orderingGuests order from the table; staff approve before it goes to the kitchen. Menus in English, Kannada and Hindi.
02 · Kitchen

The right ticket, on the right screen.

Each KOT goes to the station that cooks it: the dosa counter, the main kitchen, beverages. Big type, clear states, readable from two metres away.

Apron's kitchen display: new and rush tickets for the main kitchen, beverages and dosa counter, two ready orders waiting for pickup, allergens under each dish.
Apron's kitchen display on a phone: a new rush delivery ticket for the main kitchen with allergens and an Accept button.
  • Station routingThe KOT lands on the station that cooks each dish, as soon as the order is sent.
  • Timers and alertsEvery ticket shows its age. Rush, re-fire, recall and overdue tickets stand out.
  • Allergens in viewAllergens show under each dish that has them, right on the ticket.
  • A print queue you controlPaper KOTs too. A failed print is never re-sent on its own, so nothing prints twice by surprise; staff retry it.
03 · Bill

A clear bill, paid the way your guest likes.

The order becomes a GST invoice with the tax split on every line. Take UPI, card or cash, and let the bank statement confirm what came in.

  • GST on every billCGST and SGST per line, tax-inclusive or not, round-off, service and packaging charges.

  • Cash, UPI and cardPart payments and equal splits. UPI and card stay unverified until they're matched to the bank or terminal settlement.

  • CustomersFind guests by phone at the POS, keep their visits, and issue coupons.
04 · Close

Close the shift with numbers you trust.

Cashiers count the drawer before they see what the system expects. Variances over the limit wait for a manager. Nothing is marked settled before it is.

An open cash shift in Apron: opening cash ₹2,000, cash sales and expected cash shown only after the count, UPI ₹3,131, cash in ₹500, and yesterday's −₹250 variance pending approval.
An open cash shift on a phone, with expected cash shown only after the count.
  • Blind drawer countsCount by denomination; the expected cash appears only after the count.
  • ApprovalsVariances over the limit need approval. Discounts over the limit, cancellations, voids and refunds need a manager's PIN.
  • UPI reconciliationMark each UPI or card payment as found in the bank or terminal settlement.
  • Shift and sales reportsThe cash-shift report and today's sales summary.
05 · Back office

Behind the service, the business.

Stock, recipes, reports, people and outlets: the questions an owner asks after service, answered from the same system that ran it.

Stock and recipes

Recipes deduct stock as you sell.

On hand against reorder levels, low items flagged, stock counts and transfers between outlets.

Apron's stock screen: stock value, 25 tracked items with on-hand quantity, reorder level, average cost and value; paneer flagged low.

Food cost

Know what every dish really costs.

Price, food cost, food-cost percentage and margin for each costed dish, costliest first, with high percentages flagged.

Apron's recipe costing: dishes with price, food cost, food-cost percentage, margin and recipe version.

Reports and dashboard

See the day, then the month.

Today's sales, payments, a GST summary, kitchen times and stock, with Excel export on most reports.

Apron's sales by hour for the last 30 days: a lunch peak at 14:00 and a dinner peak at 20:00.

Staff, roles and audit

Everyone sees what's theirs to see.

Role templates and custom roles, manager PIN approvals, and an audit log of price changes, discounts, voids and refunds with who and when.

Apron's audit log: today's payments, discounts, PIN overrides and an item cancelled because the guest changed their mind, each with who and when.

Outlets

One outlet or many.

Switch outlets from one sign-in. Each outlet has its own menu prices and invoice series; stock moves between them.

Apron's dashboard for the Indiranagar outlet at the end of a trading day: sales billed, net sales, bills, payments collected and what needs attention.
06 · What you need

Runs on what you already have.

No special terminals. Apron runs in a current browser, so the PC at the counter, a tablet in the kitchen and the captains' phones all work.

Phones and tablets

Captains order on phones; the kitchen display runs on a tablet or any screen with a browser.

Printers

For silent paper KOTs and bills, a thermal printer and a counter PC. We'll talk printers in the demo.

Your team's language

The POS, kitchen display, menu, tables and guest QR menu also work in Kannada and Hindi.
